MailVue ("we", "our", "us") operates the MailVue mailbox management platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, role (Store Operator, Staff, or Customer)
  • Mailbox information: assigned mailbox number, physical address for Form 1583, phone number
  • Mail-piece data: photos, scans, sender names, tracking numbers, carrier information
  • Service records: pickup logs, forwarding requests, shred/discard requests, audit trails
  • Billing information: Stripe customer ID, subscription status; full card numbers are never stored
  • Communications: messages between Stores and Customers through the platform
  • Usage data: log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the MailVue platform
  • To send notifications about your mail, pickups, and service requests
  • To process payments through Stripe
  • To comply with USPS CMRA regulations (Form 1583 retention)
  • To improve the platform and troubleshoot issues
  • To communicate service updates and security notices

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Telnyx — SMS notifications (when enabled by your Store)
  • Google Cloud Vision — OCR processing of mail images (when enabled by your Store)
  • Base44 — cloud infrastructure and hosting
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law

Data retention

Mail-piece photos are deleted 30 days after pickup. Form 1583 records are retained per USPS requirements. Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted upon request subject to legal obligations.

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@mailvueapp.com. Certain data may be retained to comply with legal obligations.
